What can EDD Sell Services do for a store that sells services?
It turns an Easy Digital Downloads store into one that can sell services, with requirements, chat, files, tracking and ratings on every order. Every plan includes every feature.
- Works with
- Easy Digital Downloads
- Version
- 4.3.0
- Tested up to
- WordPress 6.7.2
- Vendors
- Frontend Submissions (FES) supported
Requirements
How do I get the buyer's details before I start work?
After payment, the buyer answers the requirement questions you set for that service. You can save a set of questions and reuse it on your next service, so you do not retype it.
- Questions are shown to the buyer after payment
- Save a question set once
- Reuse the saved set on any other service
Delivery
How does the buyer know when to expect the work?
Each service shows an estimated delivery time. If the date changes, you update it later from the service page.
- Estimated delivery time on the service
- Delivery date can be updated from the service page later
- Set a number of days on the final delivery: if the customer never responds, the order moves to review on its own
Chat and files
Where do the buyer and seller talk and share files?
On the order itself. Chat and shared files live there, so nothing gets lost in a separate email thread.
- Chat on every order
- Shared files on every order
- The seller attaches the final file when delivering
Status and notifications
How do both sides see where an order stands?
A status tracker sits on the order, and both sides get notifications. The vendor also gets an email on each new order.
- Status tracker on the order
- Notifications to the buyer and the seller
- Email to the vendor on each new order
Ratings
Can both the buyer and the seller rate each other?
Yes. After the seller marks the order delivered, ratings follow.
- Seller attaches the final file and marks delivery
- Ratings follow delivery
Look and feel
Can I make the service pages match my store?
Yes. Seven colour pickers and a border radius setting style the service panels and the conversation, so they look like part of your storefront.
- Seven colour pickers
- Border radius setting
- Applies to the service panels and the conversation
Vendors
Can third-party vendors sell their own services?
Yes, with the Frontend Submissions (FES) extension for Easy Digital Downloads. Vendors list and manage their own services, and the same order flow runs for each of them.
- Vendors list their own services
- Vendors manage their own services
- Vendors get an email on each new order
